The Challenge
Creating an intuitive recipe planning application that can generate personalized recipes based on available ingredients, dietary preferences, and time constraints, while providing a seamless user experience for home cooks of all skill levels.
Our Solution
We developed MoodChef, an AI-powered recipe planner that uses advanced language models to analyze user inputs and generate customized recipes. The platform features smart ingredient matching, dietary preference filters, time-based recipe suggestions, and a favorites system for saving preferred meals.

Set up Next.js project with ShadCN UI for forms and cards, styled with Tailwind CSS v4, using TypeScript for components.
Backend Integration
Configured Supabase for recipe storage, integrated Vercel AI SDK for meal generation, implemented Zod for validating ingredient lists.
Testing & Deployment
Tested with sample inputs, ensured AI suggestions saved and displayed correctly, deployed to Vercel.
Results & Impact
Successfully launched a user-friendly recipe planning tool that has created over 10,000 recipes for 5,000+ users, maintaining a 4.9-star user rating. The platform effectively transforms cooking experiences by providing personalized meal suggestions tailored to each user's unique needs.
